A recent headline states Modern living to blame for cancer epidemic

Well, duh.

Modern Living like living long enough to get cancer and early cancer detections giving you a diagnosis of cancer before you die of other causes.

It's a boon not a bane.

Yes, but a person would live much longer if they would restrict the indulgences, and they would be no less happy either.

I think Ninth Stage got it right. More of us get cancer because fewer of us are eaten by saber-toothed tigers before we're old enough to get cancer. But don't worry. Shortly after the government prints a few trillion more dollars to pay Medicare benefits to the Baby Boomers, the foreigners who supply most of our petroleum and manufactured goods will stop taking our Monopoly money, and modern living will cease to be a problem.
