Blog Poll: Tinnitus
OK, this is a blog poll. Who out there with a gunblog has tinnitus? I've got it, it sucks, and I've had it for about 12 years or so. I didn't get it from guns either, I got it from playing guitar in a band and from Tool concerts. Damn. Used to be it didn't bother me much, but lately it's gotten much worse and I don't know why.

Nevermind.
I have mild tinnitus, also not from shooting but from 8 years as a disco dj in my youth. To keep it from getting worse, I'm religious about hearing protection when at the range.

I don't have tinnitus, but I'm almost deaf in my left year from shooting without hearing protection when I was little. An audiologist told me that it's fairly common for shotgun shooters to have a left ear rather than a right ear problem. Something to do with sound waves.
